Things that are happening:
- Austin and I are watching the first season of The Walking Dead. It was a little slow at first; I thought the pilot was extremely boring, but now we are on episode 6 and I’m enjoying the zombie experience. Right now they are looking at a zombie brain.
- Jenn’s daughter’s “make up” birthday party is tomorrow (rescheduled because of the snow last weekend) and now that I’ve typed that out, I realize that her present is in Austin’s car and I have to wrap it… ARGH! At least I have some super cute Hello Kitty wrapping paper.
- It would seem that we will be getting a new car at the end of November- a Subaru Impreza that has AWD and is good in the snow. I’m torn because I LOVE my Corolla, but it sucks in winter. I got stuck last year going up a slope in 2 inches of snow that was at an angle of only 20º But just as I’ve grown to love my Corolla, I’m sure I will love the Impreza as well. It doesn’t hurt that it has a bunch of neat features too.
- The two men from yesterday’s incident texted me late last night and told me that they did file a police report. Bigotry: 0, Prosperity: 1.
- I found a surgeon who agreed to do a revisional gastric bypass on me. It sounds like “ooooh, ahhh” but it is a big deal for me because I’ve previously been denied 3 times. This is likely due to the lap band I had placed in 2007, and removed (after my body rejected it) in 2008. The infection was bad, and the laproscopic surgery didn’t pan out, and it turned into a long, open removal of said band. The surgeon in Baltimore (that’s where Jenn and I went on Wednesday) said that there was no physical reason that I should have been denied and that the denials were likely due to them not having revision experience. That’s okay because from the sound of things, I wouldn’t want a “for profit only” surgeon cutting me back open and experimenting. This surgeon ONLY does revisional bariatric surgery. He’s a mistake fixer. And while he’s all up in my guts, he’s going to fix my hernia that was the result of so many abdominal surgeries.
- It’s the weekend!

I am super happy for you and cannot wait to see you!

Super happy for you!
Gotta love doctors who deny you for stuff because they either a) don’t want to do it or b) don’t know how to do it, but won’t tell you why they won’t do it – just say “no.”
